Beginner Lessons
You need to get ready for this because you are about to change your life forever. Passing your driving test isn’t just about no longer needing to catch the bus, it totally opens up your world. Better education, better paid job work, new friends, weekends away, see family, road trips
On your first lesson we will take you to a quiet area, free from traffic and free from well wishes standing outside your house waving you off…nothing like a bit of pressure from mum and dad .
And soon you will be driving, we will teach you the basics and under our expert tuition keeping you safe, you will be driving around Mansfield and Sutton in Ashfield with a big grin on your face because you can do it and you can see your future unfolding in front of your eyes.
Partly Trained Lessons
For some reason or other you have some driving experience, perhaps with a different driving school in Mansfield or maybe with friends or family. But here you are wanting to finish the job off and knowing you don’t need to start from the beginning. Our part trained lessons are exactly what you need. All you have to do is tell us about your experience, show us what you can do and let us take over from there. We will build on your skills and experience, polishing up the diamond that you are. If you have already passed your theory test then we can look to book your practical test; this will depend on the date and the number of lessons you are going to need. Say for example you need another 20 hours or thereabouts, and the next test is 8 weeks away, that’s only 2 to 3 hours a week. So if you can do those hours let’s get your test booked!
Intensive courses
We know that some of us need our driving licence sooner rather than later due to work commitments or you may even feel doing several lessons a week will help you to retain the information given to you on each of your driving lessons by your Can Drive driving instructor. We offer various intensive courses to suit your needs and your level of driving experience from never driven before to just needing to brush up your skills.
Driving Test Rescue
Failed your driving test with a different driving school? We actually know how it feels when you fail not only do you have to tell your family and friends but it’s also the cost of taking the test and having lessons until your test which could total well over £200.
What you need to remember is it is not your fault you have failed your test once or even several times. Some people do fail on the first attempt due to nerves but more often it is down to your last instructor letting you take your test when you aren’t prepared properly or confident, but don’t worry because at Can Drive we will show you where you have been going wrong so we can put that right and make you feel confident about what you need to be doing.
Confidence Building
Not all of us are excited about jumping in a car and getting behind the wheel which could be down to an accident that you might have been in or your last instructor giving you no confidence.
Our instructors will listen to your needs and requirements and help you to gain that confidence to get behind the wheel by going at a pace that suits your learning needs.
Refresher lessons
Do you need to get behind the wheel again but it’s been that long you now feel that you don’t know if what you are doing is right and you are still a safe driver . Then we can help you and wont judge your driving skills, we just want to help you to feel safe and confident again to get you back out on our roads.
Pass plus
- Once you have passed your driving test there is a scheme called the pass plus which is a minimum of 6 hrs on different types of roads some of you may not of experienced before and is designed to make you feel more confident on these types of roads. There is no test to take at the end of the course but by doing this course some insurance companies will give you a discount as they feel you want to make sure that you are being safe on our road and are therefore less likely to have an accident. The 6 modules you have to cover are :-

- Dual Carriageways
- All Weathers
- Night Driving
- Motorways
Motorways
If the Pass plus is not something you think you would benefit from we would advise you to take a few motorway lessons as this is currently something that we were unable to show you when you are learning due to all learners not being allowed on the motorway. By doing a few driving lessons it will allow us to give you the experience you will require before going onto these busy and fast roads on your own.
