One to one engagement:
To learn driving effectively, you need a personal tutor who can be with you during practical driving sessions. Now, you may find some schools that give simultaneous sessions with other pupils, but it is not the way to teach driving lessons. You need to hire a school that allocates a separate instructor to you for practical driving lessons. Don’t worry, you will find a school that offers the same.
When searching for driving lessons in Sutton in Ashfield and you land on a If a driving school has a website, it simply means that it is serious about the business. This feature enables you to learn about the quality of driving lesions the school offers. Also, you can ask for recommendations from your family members and friends who have recently completed driving training. They may end up referring you some good names.
While learning at the driving school, so many questions are going to arise in your mind and it is important that they are answered perfectly by the instructor. Ensure that the instructor allocated to you is friendly and transparent with you. He should be able to answer all your questions. No matter how silly the query is, he should not loose tamper or should behave inappropriately with the pupil.
Pick up and drop off facilities:
Well, you won’t find these facilities in all driving schools you visit, but if it offers, you can expect utmost professionalism from the school and you can take this account. It is a value added service and it helps a school to earn respect from the clients. They will pick you from your school or office or home and drop off to.
Flexible timings as per clients’ schedules:
Now, this applies to you if you are a working professional or a student. An ideal driving school will give you enough flexibility to schedule the driving lessons in Sutton in Ashfield as per your preferable timings. You must have seen driving school cars with instructors and clients in early morning or late night. If you are looking for such unusual schedules, you need to discuss the same with the management.
Inferior qualities of driving lessons in Sutton in Ashfield:
More theory and less practical lessons:
You cannot take driving lessons in Sutton in Ashfield by just understanding everything theoretically. It is similar to swimming. You have to dive into water to learn swimming. In a similar manner, you have to practice if you want to learn driving perfectly. There are many driving schools that arrange less numbers of practical sessions. Before hiring a driving school, ask the management about number of hours of practical training.
Hidden terms and conditions in the deal:
When a driving school offers a deal for the course, let’s say “10 hours for £99”, it looks so promising on the paper, but in real, they may cover only 2 hours for practical session and rest of the hours for theory. Hence, it is imperative that you discuss the deal in personal with the management and ask any questions that arise in your mind. To become a master in driving, it is imperative that you spend more hours in the practical sessions.
Bad quality of cars:
Now this is awful, seriously. When you are paying what the school asks, you deserve to be allocated cars that are new and in good conditions. Sometimes, driving schools have old cars that are not functioning perfectly, but they don’t replace them and it is not something you should endure. Ask the management to allocate a good car. Don’t hesitate, you have paid for the same and you deserve it.
Well, when you enroll for driving lessons in Sutton in Ashfield, it is important that you take your time to find out the best school for the same. Whether you will become a good and safe driver or not totally depends on the driving school you choose. Be smart and take a right decision.

Pupils who take two-hour lessons are more likely to pass their test in less than half the time of those only taking one-hour tuition each week.
Why do so many driving schools in Mansfield believe that taking a two-hour driving lesson will make such a difference and get them to test standard quicker?
First of all, by taking a two-hour driving lesson your Driving Instructor in Mansfield can take you on longer routes including the test routes without having to cram in as much as possible, teaching you how to read signs and the road and not just learn what to do in your local area. You will also learn to drive independently after a while and in addition, build more confidence and driving skills quicker by being out of your comfort zone in areas that are completely new to you.
Take Lessons Close Together
Taking lessons close together will help build your long term memory of new and difficult subjects. It stands to reason that the more often and more frequently you practice a subject, the more likely you are to remember how to do it if there haven’t been long periods away from your driving lessons.
There is much more to driving lessons than just driving around until you “get the hang of it.” Not only do you need a sound knowledge of all the driving rules, there are many aspects of driving that many drivers who learned from their parents or other experienced drivers never learn. What you learn at the very beginning will stick with you forever. When you choose the right driving school in Mansfield, such as Can drive you can rest assure that you are in safe hands and ultimately pass your test and be a safe driver for life.
Overall taking longer driving lessons more frequently may be a large cost initially, but in the long run, you will get to test standard and pass your driving test quickly and therefore have saved yourself a small fortune.
Save your time and your money – book two-hour lessons!
Probably the most common approach to weighing up the total cost of a driver’s licence is to conduct a few enquiries with a range of driving schools in Mansfield find the price of single lessons with each of those schools, and then opt for the driving school which provides the lowest priced tuition based on the price of their lessons.
That’s what the average pupil will do. On a basic level, this would seem to be a sound strategy. We normally conduct driving lessons in Mansfield over a weekly time frame, so the custom is to appraise this cost as being a weekly charge and assume the number of lessons required would be about the same with any provider. Although that would be a mistake.
Will Cheap Driving Lessons in Mansfield Be Worse Than the Expensive Ones?
You really don’t know, all you can do is check out the school and read their reviews before choosing the right driving school in Mansfield for you. You will most likely be able to find cheap driving lessons in Mansfield and the surrounding areas. Be sure to ask these questions and look at the cars. If possible, meet and talk to the instructor before signing any papers.
One of the ways that you can find cheap driving lessons in Mansfield and cost effective driving schools in Mansfield is to practice the theory test online. Then all you need to do is concentrate on driving itself.
Many places offer this now to reduce the cost.
You might be able to find cheap driving lessons from someone you know who does lessons on the side. Not a good idea as they have to pass the driving instructor training course and hold a green ADI badge.

Get the time right.
Don’t Schedule your test at a period when other stressful events are likely for example in the middle of preparing for a wedding or during exams and not while stressing about moving home. The report charts your driving development and lets you see what you are good at and what needs improvement. For example when you try a new skill, let’s say a bay park we will mark it off on the syllabus as introduced. When you are capable of doing the bay park without the need of your instructor you are marked off as independent.
Building your confidence is a key components to passing your driving test first time as well as your preparation. This is also important and not just for passing your test, but also for safe driving.
Once you have covered the syllabus, we then book your driving test and take you on a few mock tests. This is so that we can test you under test conditions and is your opportunity to drive independently and grow your confidence.

On the day of your driving test your instructor will pick you up 1 hr before your test to give you a little time to get into your driving groove and help you to relax. You will arrive at the test centre 10 minutes before your test so that you can go to the toilet and go over any last minute questions.
The examiner will come out and say your name and get you to sign a declaration. You will also need to read a number plate from 20.5 metres and the test will last around 40 minutes. You will be asked to carry out one reversing exercise, 15 minutes of independent driving and possibly the emergency stop. While you drive the examiner will be looking for errors in your driving.
Your examiner is looking for you to be a safe and responsible driver and in complete control of the car at all times and finally aware of your surroundings.
It’s quite simple really you are allowed to make little mistakes as we are human after all. So if you do make a mistake then correct it safely. So let’s go back to bay parking again if you get it slightly wrong because you’re over the line and misjudged your turning point as long as you are safe, in control and aware of your surroundings when you correct your mistake you will still pass.
What Not To Do
However if the examiner decides you are not aware of your surroundings or cannot rectify your mistake safely by being in control this is where people fail. But because we will cover our syllabus you will be 100% prepared so this shouldn’t happen. You will know how to drive and have the confidence to correct it safely if and when required.

Luckily for you, although about 20 years ago a majority or instructors were men in more recent years there is many more female driving instructors teaching throughout the country. It’s also a matter of personal preference whether you are looking for a teacher who is clam, gentle and supportive (traits generally associated with women) or one that will push you (generally considered to a male trait) the problem is that other female instructors are thoughts of as strict others a pushover. Guess what? You can’t generalise a person’s teaching style by their gender. Just like every student learns differently every instructor teaches in a different manner. You can’t assess someone’s personality or teaching style from an advert on Goggle or Yell.com. But you can read their reviews, see what their students have to say about them. Ask for recommendations from friends. Remember there will always be some people you can’t get on with and some of them might be a driving instructor. Pick the one that works best for you.But I asked about the benefits of a female driving instructor – if your female driving instructor is a fully qualified instructor and if your female driving instructor helps you feel comfortable this will in turn help you gain more knowledge and skills, enabling you to pass your test sooner, therefore saving you money. So while we can’t state categorically whether female or male driving instructors are the best, we can recommend you find an instructor that makes you feel relaxed in their company and doesn’t get you all flustered (not a great way to take a lesson). At ‘Can Drive Driving School’ we can offer either male or female instructors throughout Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield and Kirby in Ashfield areas, give us a call on 01623 362162 to book your first lesson now

When choosing which company to learn to drive with, you may suddenly realise there’s lots of instructors out there. You may already know if you would prefer to have either a male or female instructor, you may be looking for one that uses automatic cars rather than manual. But one of the big considerations that most students will be thinking about when choosing their instructor is the price. Some offer deals, to make them stand out in the crowd. But are these deals as good as they appear to be?
Misleading introductory offers
If you’re looking for driving lessons, I bet you’ve seen loads of offers, for instance 5 lessons for £50, 10 for £99. Sound great don’t they? But you may want to make sure you check out some of the details before you hand over your money.
Did you notice that the offer states the number of lessons and not the length of a lesson? There are some instructors who have been known to provide shortened lessons. So rather than charging for the usual hour, the deal only includes a short 30 minute lesson. So it’s important to compare the price based on the same amount of time, which might well work out about the same as a regular lesson – so not such a great deal!
On the other hand the “5 lessons for £50” deal doesn’t actually state that it’s your first 5 lessons that are discounted. Some will discount certain lessons, for example lesson number 1, 5, 10, 15 etc. However you have to pay the full price for all the lessons in between. You may need to pay this up front and once you’ve paid you may not get a refund which isn’t good if you don’t get on with your instructor.
Trainee driving instructors
Wouldn’t you feel cheated if you were paying full price for your lessons and then discovered that your instructor wasn’t qualified? A qualified instructor will have a green ADI badge, if their badge is pink then they’re not qualified. Check out your instructor before you start, know what you’re paying for. How experienced are they? There’s nothing wrong with learning to drive with a newly qualified instructor or even one in training – but would you really expect to pay full price?
Get Driving on your First Lesson
Driving on your first lesson sounds great but essentially it’s not being done to help you – it’s purely a sales gimmick. A good instructor will always spend time during your first lesson chatting to you about the controls (you need to know the difference between the accelerator and the brake, or understand what you’re looking for in the mirror) and about you and your expectations. On a first lesson you may get to go for a short drive (if you’re ready) not because you’re being ripped off, but you need to learn the basics before you start on the more technical parts like reversing, and other manoeuvres.
So our advice is, if you think an offer is too good to be true, -check it out by all means. But go into any deals, with your eyes open. At the end of the day instructors need to make their money; to maintain their car, pay for petrol, put food on their tables and a roof over their heads etc. If they’re not charging you enough, then you’ve got to ask yourself why not?
Ask questions and get the information in writing – question them about their deals – ask them what is included in the offer and what isn’t.
